Insurance Plans

University of Maryland Medical Center accepts many insurance plans including most managed care plans.

Patient Resource Center

The Patient Resource Center (PRC) is located on the first floor of the Weinberg Building in the University of Maryland Medical Center.  The PRC is a place where patients, families and the public can get information about a variety of health topics.

Concierge Services

Concierge Services is designed to help patients and their families coming from out of town have a seamless experience from initial contact to discharge.

MyPortfolio

MyPortfolio is a confidential, easy-to-use site that gives UMMC patients 24-hour access to key information in their medical record such as test results, medications and a history of appointments.

CaringBridge

UMMC is a sponsor of CaringBridge, an Internet service that helps patients and their families stay connected with loved ones during medical treatment.

Pastoral Care

During times of stress or uncertainty, many people find talking things over with a chaplain helpful. Pastoral Care Services at the University of Maryland Medical Center are available 24 hours a day.

Perioperative Services

If you or a loved one is coming to the University of Maryland Medical Center for surgery or an endoscopic procedure, you may have questions about what to expect.

Tobacco-Free Hospital

No smoking, electronic cigarettes or tobacco use of any kind allowed in the Medical Center, including patient rooms and bathrooms.

Free Wi-Fi

The University of Maryland Medical Center now offers free Wi-Fi service for use by patients and visitors.

Interpretation Services

In support of its commitment to provide quality care, the University of Maryland Medical Center offers free interpretation services to help providers communicate with their non-English and Limited-English Proficient patients as well as those who are hearing impaired. If you require an interpreter for an appointment or admission, please inform your provider and an interpreter will scheduled.

Gift Shop

The University of Maryland Medical Center's gift shop offers a variety of gifts, magazines and flowers, as well as candy, soda and snacks. It's open on Monday through Saturday from 7:30 am to 9 pm, and on Sunday from 9 am to 8 pm. For more information, call the gift shop at 410-328-9913.

Bank/ATM

There is an M&T bank and ATM in the Medical Center (1st floor, Atrium). There is also a Bank of America ATM in the Medical Center (1st floor between the North and South Hospital).
